Steve's Rambling - Guided Walks in the New Forest

Be guided through the secret parts of the New Forest by Steve the Ranger.
Some say he wrestles the Beast of Bodmin before breakfast, others have discovered his softer side. We just know him as the Everton Power Ranger.

One day walk  ( 7 – 10 miles )
10am. – 5pm  with ‘loo’ stops, refreshments ( pub ) and in the evening, a talk from Steve at Glenhurst ( mulled wine and wood burner in the Winter, Pimms and sunsets in the Summer ) .
If you have the stamina, a second day with a shorter walk to observe and consolidate lessons learned the previous evening. Cleaning and drying facilities ( and plasters ;-)) available at Glenhurst.

New Forest Walking with Steve Adams

Steve has lived and worked in the New Forest area all his life. He has a wide knowledge of the geography of the Forest and this, coupled with a general interest in wildlife and the environment makes him an ideal guide for visitors to the area.
Fully insured and first-aid qualified, Steve has considerable experience in leading walking parties and is always willing to impart information about the Forest and its history and traditions.

The walks are conducted at an easy pace with occasional stops to look at or discuss various features. A wide range of routes is available with approximate distances of 5 miles for a half-day walk and 9/10 miles for a day walk, although specific routes can often be arranged by request. Lunch on day walks can either be a picnic stop or a visit to a forest pub.

The New Forest is generally flat so walking is easy but routes can often be muddy, especially as the preference is to walk in less populated areas wherever possible. Walkers should therefore always have good footwear (boots, or walking-type trainers or shoes), and also suitable clothing to allow for possible changes in weather conditions.

Whilst safety is obviously a priority, the objective of these walks is to make them interesting and informative but, above all, enjoyable.
